The Relativity of Real is a 2012 colored pencil series inspired by the different ways organisms experience the world.

The top image is through the perspective of a bee, whereas the middle is the perspective of a human, and the last one, a snake.

The series is meant to question what we believe to be the “true” world. It shows the limitations of our own perspective by remarking on our lack of thermal vision, and ability to see UV rays, which aids bees to flowers.

I also hoped that the viewer would extend and apply it the human world, by reflecting on the short-sightedness of our own perspective and understanding that other people may see the world very differently, even if we are all looking at the same old chunks of matter, even if we all see the same old light rays.

A Message From Detroit for Doctor Who Fans (x)

artyfartytimeywimey:

To say I’m upset about Matt Smith leaving Doctor Who would be an understatement - and I love drawing him. He has the most unusual and beautiful and striking face. These are some of my drawings of him as The Doctor.

Awesome!
